Paul-Hubert served in NJG-1 and NJG-4 achieving 31 aerial victories. After the Second World War he served with the Bundeswehr from October 16ht, 1956 until June 1st, 1974 and finally reached the rank of Oberst.

1st August 1938: Leutnant;
1st June 1940: Oberleutnant;
1st December 1942: Hauptmann;
1st March 1945: Major.
