Action: Lieutenant Karamjeet was the platoon leader of a unit that was given the task of clearing a mill of enemy soldiers on 18 March 1945 near Meiktila, Burma. After a drive on an allied tank he ordered the tank commander to stop his vehicle at a distance of 20 metres from the target. Being there Lieutenant Karamjeet stormed into the mill and put all enemy occupants out of action. However Lieutenant Karamjeet was mortally wounded during this action.
