Action: On May 15, 1940 at the river The Dyle in Belgium dealt Annand the enemy heavy loses with throwing its hand grenades. After he had looked after to its several wounds he went the same evening in attack again. When later during this attack appeared that his position was hopeless and its platoon got the task to withdraw, he discovered that the secondant was missing. Again he returned to the battle field and brought back the secondant with using a wheelbarrow. Once returned he pass out by his loss of blood.
Details: Later promoted to the rank of Captain.
