James Oliver Christie entered service on 17th March 1941 and lies buried at the Regina Cemeteray, Saskatchewan, Canada, Block D, Plot 1, Grave 21.
Pilot Officer Christie met his death in the performance of Air Force duty during a training flight as a result of the crash of Cornell 10880 at approximately 1720 hrs, April 3rd, 1944, on the Canadian Pacific Railway right of way, one quarter mile south of Azure, Alberta.
