Enlisted on 25th August 1941.
William Meager's plane, a Lancaster Bomber LM242, was shot down by Peter Spoden, on the return journey from a raid on Darmstadt, The 'plane crashed on a sportsfield near Frankfurt. William Meager was killed and the rest of the crew survived, but were taken as POW's.
