Arthur Roden Cutler also received the Knight in the Order of Australia, istituted in 1975.

Awarded on: June 11th, 1942
Action: Lieutenant Cutler has performed many heroic actions during his military career. Some examples are the reparation of a crucial telephone line under heavy enemy fire, beating off an enemy tank attack and the capture of an important enemy position during the period of 19 June/6 July 1941 in the Merdjayoun-Damou area, Syria. During a later action Lieutenant Cuttler was seriously wounded and when he was rescued after 26 hours his leg had to be amputated.
Details: Later became Sir Roden.
Sir Roden Cutler died 21 februari 2002.
Sir Roden Cutler ia buried at the South Head Cemetery, Vaucluse, Sidney, Australia.
