Action: On 30th. September 1940 a bomber burst into flames whilst taking off from the RAF station at Wattisham. Sinclair immediately went to the rescue of the trapped airmen en succeeded in dragging the crew to safety.
Details: Date of Gazette 21 January 1941.
Later promoted to the rank of Air Vice Marshal.
Sinclair's medals are on display in the Imperial War Museum in London, Great Britain.
He served on the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association from 1965.
