Frank McGrogan joined the Regular Army Blackwatch Boy Service on 29th May 1939. When he was 17 years he was incorporated in the regular army on 30th March 1941. He was transferred to the Army AIr Corps on 10th May 1944.
Frank McGrogan served in Nothwestern Europe from 25th December 1945 unitl 23rd February 1945 and 24th March 1945 until 19th May 1945. Between 22nd September 1945 and 13th January 1948 he served in the Middle east and received therfore the General Service Medal with "PALESTINE" clasp.
He was discharged at his own request on 9th July 1948.
