Action:
|
On 5 March 1945 at Snowdon East near Tamandu, Burma, a section was pinned down by heavy enemy fire including fire from a sniper. After killing the enemy sniper Rifleman Bhanbhag attacked through a hail of fire and put numerous enemies and a machine-gun out of action. With the assistance of three others he beat off an enemy counter attack, which caused several casualties. The actions mentioned above were decisive in securing the objective, which was in this case an enemy fortified position.
