Action: During an enemy attack on February 16th and 17th, 1945 at Kanlan Ywathit in Burma, Jemadar Prakash Singh touched wounded to both legs. As a result he was relieved from his command and removed to a First Aid post. The he heard that the man who replaced him died, he went back on the battlefield. There he knew, in spite of its wounds, to encourage his man in a heroic manner. But again he was hit two times, but still he encouraged his man into battle. Eventually he died, because of his last wounds.
