BIOGRAPHY:
On December 30th, 1944 Major Mickley, (Kommandeur II. Panzergrenadier-Bataillon/Führer-Begleit-Brigade) died from a serious abdominal injury caused by shrapnel during an assault on the town of Sibret, Belgium. He was posthumously promoted to Oberstleutnant.
