Action: On 11/12 March 1944 Naik Singh and his section were ordered to capture an enemy position near the road from Maungdaw to Buthidaung, Burma. He led his men into the battle and managed to capture and secure the objectives, although he was wounded in his face and shoulder.

Details: Later promoted to the rank of Jemadar.
