Action: From November 1942 until early December 1942, Wing Commander Malcolm was the commander of a squadron of bombers in North Africa. During this period he led several attacks on enemy targets. On 4 December he led an attack on an enemy airfield near Chougui, Tunisia. During this attack overwhelming numbers of enemy fighters attacked the formation of bombers. Numerous bombers were shot down, including Wing Commander Malcolm’s bomber.
Details: Hugh Gordon Malcolm is buried at the Beja War Cemetery, Tunisia.
