Since the start of the war in 1939 until April 1943 the submarine HMS Turbulent was responsible for the sinking of several supply ships, a cruiser, a destroyer, an U-boat and 28 other ships under the command of Commander Linton. During his last year Commander Linton spend 254 days on his submarine, was hunted 13 times and suffered a total of 250 depth charges aimed at his submarine.
